Distress Centre of Ottawa: A 24-hr distress line primarily for adults. Service Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call 613-238-3311.
Youth Services Bureau (YSB) 24/7 Crisis Line: The 24/7 Crisis Line service is for children and youth ages 18 and under, who are experiencing a crisis. The Crisis Line is also available to parents, guardians, caregivers, friends or service providers who are concerned about a young person in crisis. Service Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Kids Help Phone: A national, confidential, and anonymous, 24-hour telephone and online counselling service for children and youth. Service Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call: 1-800-668-6868.
Quick-access single-session therapy
Counselling Connect: Free access to a same-day or next-day phone or video counselling session. This service is for children, youth, adults and families in Ottawa and the surrounding area. There is no waiting list.

Peer Support
Parents For Children’s Mental Health: A non-profit, provincial, parent-run organization that provides a voice for children and their families who face the challenges of mental health problems. PCMH works with families, the general public, mental health professionals and agencies, and government to provide education and support related to child and youth mental health.
Parents Lifeline of Eastern Ontario: Parents Lifeline of Eastern Ontario (PLEO) is a non-profit organization providing support to parents and caregivers who have children, youth and young adults living with mental illness. Call their confidential telephone helpline at 613-321-3211 to speak with other parents who have supported their child through the mental health system or addiction system.
Learning Disabilities Association of Ottawa-Carleton: The Learning Disabilities Association of Ottawa-Carleton (LDAO-C) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting increased awareness and respect for persons living with learning exceptionalities and attention deficit disorder. Services include workshops, resources, advocacy coaching, parent support, education groups and more.
